A dental implant is actually a small titanium post that is placed directly into the jawbone to mimic the root structure of a lost tooth. Once there, it can be used to support a variety of restorations above the gum line. The procedure to get them all starts with a minor surgery that Dr. Sadeghi can perform right here at Royal Dental, saving you from having to deal with an expensive and inconvenient referral. After your implants have been placed, you’ll be given a few months to heal, during which the posts will bond with the surrounding bone just like a natural tooth. At that point, you’ll return to our office to receive your new teeth.
Implant-Retained Crowns & Bridges
An implant-retained crown is an all-porcelain crown that is connected to an implant post using a small metal connector called an abutment, and it’s the perfect solution for someone missing a single tooth. Because the implant has the same basic root-crown structure of a real tooth, it will seamlessly blend into the smile and can be trusted to last for decades to come.
Or, for a patient missing multiple teeth in a row, implant crowns can also be used to support a bridge. Additional prosthetic teeth are bonded to implant-supported crowns to reliably fill in the gap in the smile.
Do you have an ill-fitting denture that constantly moves around in your mouth? With dental implants, we can finally give you the kind of fit you can rely on. Implant-retained dentures consist of prosthetic teeth that are anchored directly to the jawbone using multiple dental implants, providing a hold a traditional removable denture simply can’t match. Plus, implant-retained dentures can be trusted to maintain their day one fit for years at a time, and they even help a patient regain much more of their natural bite strength.
If you could replace an entire row of missing teeth in just one day, would you do it? It’s possible with All-on-4. For this procedure, four implants are placed strategically into the mouth and attached to a denture at the same appointment. It’s just that simple. You can literally wake up that morning with missing teeth and go to bed that night with a full smile. For most of our All-on-4 patients, their only regret is that they didn’t get the treatment sooner!
